A seal of the book being broken by the lamb
1. The breaking of the first seal.
Revelation 6:2
And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
i. ‘One who rides a white horse.’
Revelation 6:2 As we have shown before, in Matthew 24:4,5,11,24 Jesus teaches his disciples the sign of ‘false Christs coming’.
Now let’s look at Daniel 9:27.
Daniel 9:27
He will confirm a covenant with many for one ‘seven.’ In the middle of the ‘seven’ he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And at the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him.”
In this verse, ‘he’ refers to the Antichrist, and the most important and first visible sign of the second coming of Jesus is that the Antichrist will appear as a ‘prince of peace’ and work to establish a seven-year peace covenant in the land of Israel. ) Jesus also declared the assurance of revelation given by God.
Matthew 24:15,16
“So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand—then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
As stated in Daniel 9:27, the Antichrist will establish a seven-year peace covenant in the land of Israel, but after 3 1/2 years, he will break the covenant and act according to 2 Thessalonians 2:4.
Thessalonians 2:4
On the contrary, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts.
All of the above proves that ‘the one who comes on a white horse’ is the Antichrist. Therefore, I ask you not to confuse this person with Jesus, our Lord, the King of kings, who is described in Revelation 19:11-16.
ii. ‘A crown was given him’
Here the word ‘crown’ is translated as ‘Stephanos’. This means a crown made of leaves like the winners of an Olympic competition, not a king’s crown.
iii .’He went out conquering and to conquer.’
The Antichrist will first try to pose as a prince of peace, succeeding in deceiving many people.
2. The breaking of the second seal
Revelation 6:3-4
When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come!” Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make people kill each other. To him was given a large sword.
i. ‘A red horse came out’
A red horse symbolizes war and bloodshed.
Matthew 24:7
For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Children of God, understand, the Word of God shows that the Antichrist is going to work against God in a powerful way, near the coming of Jesus. Thus the Antichrist is going to work in the last days, and even now the ‘spirit of the Antichrist’ is working in the world.
1 John 2:18
Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour.
ii. ‘Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make people kill each other. To him was given a large sword.’
What has been said is already very visible in our world at this time when the second coming of Jesus is very close.
