God's beautiful world

God’s beautiful world

Today we are going to study in the Bible Genesis 1:1 to 31.

The world that God created then was a very beautiful one. God had prepared everything necessary for man’s existence. He himself said seven times that the world he created was “good”.

Let us first talk about His creation.

He did not create the world out of nothing, but through His Word. The same is happening today. Let’s look at Luke 1:37.

“For with God nothing shall be impossible.”

God is the power behind every one of His promises, and God is the truth behind all of His Word. God is the omniscience behind all of His counsel, and He is the supernatural mind behind all of His plans. No promise from God will ever fail to reach its fulfillment, for every directive that proceeds from the mind of the Almighty must arrive at its ultimate completion, for NOTHING is impossible with respect to any of God’s promises.

He created everything in 6 days.

On the first day He separated the light from the darkness.

On the second day, He made space.

On the third day He created trees and grass.

On the fourth day, He created the sun, moon, and stars.

On the fifth day, He created birds and aquatic animals.

On the sixth day animals that live on the land and finally humans, made in the image of God were created

On the seventh day, God finished his work of creation and rested, making the seventh day a special holy day.

Let’s go to the second part

Man is the essence of creation.

Why is the creation of man more special than all other things?

He made man with His own hands.

He created man in His image and likeness.

He created man from the trinity of Spirit, Soul, and Body.

He created man in His likeness, free will, decision-making ability, and wisdom.

He breathed the breath of life into man.

Now let’s go to the third part.

What privileges did he have for the man he created?

Man had a close fellowship with God.

The man had health

Man had fullness of joy and peace.

Man had eternal life.

Man had the ability not to be enslaved by the devil.

He gave them the power to grow and rule over the entire creation.

Let’s go to the next part.

It was His need to see them love willingly.

In Genesis 2, right after the creation of Adam, it says in verse 9 that God planted a garden, with many fruit-bearing trees, but two particular trees: ‘In the middle of the garden were the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil’. It goes on to say in verse 16-17, ‘And the LORD God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die”‘.

Here we have God’s first intention towards us: we are able to choose the terms on which we will interact with God. We can choose to obey him or disobey him. We can choose to trust him or not trust him. The two trees represent this choice. The choice given to Adam and Eve is the same choice given to every person who has, or will, inhabit the earth.
