The author of the book of Revelation is John, the beloved disciple of Jesus and son of Zebedee. Many acknowledge that this book was written in the year 95 AD.
The word Revelation comes from the Greek word “APOKALUPSIS”. The word APOKALUPSIS means “to open something that is closed.” This word is mentioned several times in the New Testament.
The Word of God means “the revelation of Jesus”,
– Revelation by Jesus
– Revelation about Jesus
– Revelation of Jesus by Jesus.
May be.
I will show you two keys to understanding the book of Revelation.
1. Luke 24: 25-27 He said to them, “How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory? ” And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself. “
-By this he means that from the first five books written by Moses to the books of the future prophets, it reveals God’s plan for mankind through the coming of Jesus, the sacrifice, and so on.
2. Revelation 1:10 On the Lord’s Day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet,
-This word shows us that what is said in this book was revealed to John while he was “in the Spirit.”
